Creative Post-Mortem-ism?

With all of the recent attention given to the energy crisis and the onslaught of celebrity demise, it seems only fitting that there should be a dialogue on ecology vs. mortality.

Guernsey U.K. based Creative Coffins, provides green a solution for those who want a distinctive and practical burial container.

Basically, they are constructed of at least 60 percent unbleached recycled paper & wood pulp acquired from sustainable forests, adhered with starch based glue, printed on large format, flat bed digital printers and die cut with folds and tabs for easy construction, kind of like a gift box.

Each coffin weighs under 10kg and is seemingly a very interesting way to transition to the next level.

Co- founder Geed Kelly, who claims "As far as we're concerned, it's just packaging," discovered the niche' that his design firm could fulfill when a friend who was planning his funeral couldn't locate an environmentally friendly coffin.

Kelly's company began producing coffins in May of this year and have been inundated with requests from Hollywood to Australia.

They also have the ability to create custom orders, as long as copyright infringement is heeded so get those masterful graphic ideas together?
